The EU cannot declare war, the troops they have are specifically peacekeepers and can only become active after a UN mandate.
The individual countries may get involved but if the Iranians do commit an act of war all NATO members are bound by treaty to act with the UK in a war. France would most likely would join in as well.
And Geff B has said the most disgusting thing I have ever heard "9/11 should have happened in Brussels" it should never have happened particularly in a country that has been scarred by the last two world wars and countless wars beforehand.

Are you saying the EU told our armed forces not to resist? The Iranians are playing a dangerous game. They should realise that we or even the Americans have no appetite or available capacity for a ground war with Iran. That leaves the nuclear strike option against Iranian nuclear facilities. It's frightening but it could happen somewhere along the line if Iran doesn't see sense.

I served my country proudly 59- 61 aboard the USS VALCOUR AVP55 in the Persian Gulf .As a American I would fight for my country and EU if need be.See in years gone by the American Service men have fought two Wars in Europe to help liberate there Allies. In Vietnam they died for what they believed in. It was frances war,but we helped bailed them out and then the back stabbers became our largest critic for us being there.WHERE DO YOU STAND PATRIOT ???
