cuz RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE were getting back together **** yeah!!!....i think chris cornell sounded better with soundgarden!

In a statement released February 15, 2007, announcing the May 2007 release of Cornell's 13th career album Carry On, Chris Cornell officially announced his departure from Audioslave:
"Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors."

He sounds burnt out a bit, and he also probably thinks Audioslave should have been tearing it up better than they are. The third album isn't as good as the first two for sure.

I think he got tired of Tom trying to control everything, I also think audioslave was prolly a
buisness deal from day one and that they never intended it to be anything more than a side project.

i think he wanted to go in a different musical direction than the band did. and plus hes releasing his next solo album this year.

My guess is they were or wanted to be too political for him... that and I think he may have an ego issue.
