If the Iraqi government attacked us then we should attack Iraq. If a militant group in Iraq, unconnected to the government, attacked us then we should go after that group. On 9/11, I lived a block away from the World Trade Center and was on my way to work when the first plane hit. I cannot understand why Bush invaded Iraq and abandoned the search for Osama. Apparently, neither could most other New York City residents because they voted for Kerry in 2004. This alleged war on terror is totally messed up.

There are now more Iraqis that hate the USA than there were before 9/11. I'm sure that many of them would like to attack places in the USA.

Maybe, but as a precondition you have to definitively prove who perpetrated the attack, and then assure me that you were going to attack the one and only militant groups (because there are hundreds) that conducted or suported the attack.

Oh, and I think i'd want the proof to come from the United Nations, or another similar source, because U.S. intelligence is an oxymoron.

I doubt it, they'd find some way to blame it on Bush and then protest our defense against the attackers.

Additional comment: When will you nitwits realizethat the war in Iraq is not about 9/11 ? The invasion of Iraq is a UN matter concerning the former leader Saddam Hussein's refusal to submit to UN demands to stop KILLING his own people and give up his aspirations to possess mor powerful WMDs.. The current mission is to help the elected government succeed against insurgent forces.
