What did a slaves wardrobe consist of?

2-3 year old hand me down clothing, maybe a hat, and no shoes. Really young kids maybe had a long shirt and thats it. Babies remained naked.

Clothes were literally handed down until there was nothing left to do with them, but use them for rags or hankerchiefs.

it depended on the job the slave was performing. from what i have heard, slaves that worked indoors wore half decent clothes and looked fairly normal because the slave master didn't want them to be dirty and poor looking while working in his mansion. this would be a gross and embarrassing sight when his friends came over for a polo match.
