Feel responsible for the trounce?

It never happened ever in the history of worldcup. India and paksitan the 2 countries which are equally considered as favorites of the worldcup(before the start) are out in the first round. Pakistan Management equally responded to that. Almost all the people in PCB resigned feeling the responsibility. But when the same question was put to sharad pawar he said "its just a game". No Body from BCCI feels the responsibilty. Nor I can see that in the players. Yet sachin is carving for his captiancy and aiming at 2010 worldcup. Whats your say?

India have selected the best available players for the world cup. The same players convincingly defeated West Indies and Sri Lanka in the home series just prior to the world cup.
However, if the players did not perform when wanted, how can somebody make selectors or BCCI responsible for the same. By BCCI members or selectors resigning, is the cricket going to improve in India.
