hearing this from an ALA fan
It is huge!
unlike OSU and MICH ,we live in in the same state.
Whoever whens this one has bragging rights for the whole year.
Currently, ALA leads the series by 5 or 4 games

OSU / MU for sure.
What other rivalry has had the coach send drug dogs out to smell the other teams bags, and bus. Also what other rivalry has had a school give their fans who are traveling pamphlets on how to get around saftly before and after the game. Including things like rent a car, dont put on your MU gear untill your in the stadium, travel in groups. You just cnat beat it. Two very prestigious football programs that have alot on the line almost every year. They also have some of the biggest groups of alumni in the country, the OSU v MU rivalry is known throughout the country and even teams who dont play in the Big 10 still either hate MU or OSU (or both). Im sure Alabam Auburn is big down there in alabame but out side of that little area who really knows about it. Even in a year when one of the schools does poorly the other still does well and its always a great game. OSU and Michigan both fire coaches based on whether or not they can beat the rival. Lloyd car is on the choping block now because Jim Tressel takes him to the cleaner almost every year. John Cooper had a great record at OSU but he couldnt beat Michigan, so he got fired. Woodey Hayes and Boe Schembeckler turned a good rivalry into the best rivalry in the NCAA. You know the rivalry is good when one teams fans (michigan) after losing several of the last encounters try to say that they arent really rivals, and that their real rivals are Michigan State, just because they can beat MSU... In my opinion the Bama/Auburn game is good n all but the history and the emotion that is invested by soooo many every year into this game is just unbeatable.
Id also add that even fans who dont like both schools, if they have even BEEN to one of the games they know how huge this rivalry, when ANYONE who goes to it says its the biggest then it probably is. There are still plenty of people who have been to the Auburn Alabama game and say that OSU Michigan is bigger.

Gotta go with Ohio State vs Michigan. I was in Columbus last year for the OS/UofM game, and words don't do it justice.

I'm partial to the Red River Shootout - Oklahoma/Texas. The rivalry is so intense they always hold it on a neutral field in Dallas just about halfway between the two schools. BOOMER SOONER.

I've been in both Ann Arbor and Columbus for the Ohio State / Michigan game and I can tell you firsthand...it's downright nasty.
