Really. Is it "protesting" when you're defecating on the flag of your country?
Is it protesting when you're burning effigies of your country's soldiers, who defend your right to burn effigies of your country's soldiers?
Is it protesting when you burn the flag of your country where you live in security and sound economic times?
Is it protesting when you raise a sign saying "F**K MY COUNTRY"?
No...-you- make like a hockey stick, and get the puck outta here, loser.
If you disagree you're wrong.

A person can do anything they like with the flag in this country. If you wish to live in a country where that isn't possible, I suggest a move to a slightly less tolerant nation.
You're wrong.

I consider A Human Bean, yet regrettably what's going to take position quite is: a million. Counselors will be extra in for the protestors to guage them for trauma. the advisors will then refer the detrimental darlings to the Social safe practices administration to document for disability pension on the grounds of psychological soreness inflicting lack of ability to carry employment. Their applications will be granted, leaving them with time on their palms to change into runners for extra unlawful immigration. 2. the yank Civil Liberties Union will document a form action lawsuit antagonistic to the school district for flying the yank flag on college sources because the school's inhabitants is more effective than fifty one% Latino. they'll win because the judicial gadget isn't ruling by technique of the structure from now on. the school gadget will be bankrupt, maximum human beings of scholars no longer in contact will be bused to different districts, and all protestors will be enrolled in inner most schools at taxpayers' price. 3. The California legislature will sponsor a bill to make the reveal of the Mexican flag above the yank flag the regulation in an attempt to be sure solid will with the Mexican authorities and to fund the enlargement of the gated community in Paraiso del Mar the position they have their holiday homes. 4. A statue commemorating the courageous stance the protestors took will be erected in the front of city corridor. between the unlawful extraterrestrial beings only extra into u . s . on the present smuggling holiday will be commissioned to layout the statue at a fee to the taxpayers of $500,000. for sure, it really is all tongue-in-cheek. It would not seem too a concepts from the position we are headed, even with the reality that. i'm no longer antagonistic to legal immigration, yet i'm ill and bored with each and each of the ruckus being kicked up by technique of human beings that are not even right here legally. i do not opt for to take heed to about each and each of the rationalization why they are not right here legally. There are too many others who suffered only as a lot and did follow the regulation to get right here. enable's %. em up by technique of the scruff of the neck and boot them back to the position they belong.

"To criticize one's country is to do it a service .... Criticism, in short, is more than a right; it is an act of patriotism - a higher form of patriotism, I believe, than the familiar rituals and national adulation."
U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright
"The point of public relations slogans like "Support our troops" is that they don't mean anything... That's the whole point of good propaganda. You want to create a slogan that nobody's going to be against, and everybody's going to be for. Nobody knows what it means, because it doesn't mean anything. Its crucial value is that it diverts your attention from a question that does mean something: Do you support our policy? That's the one you're not allowed to talk about."
Noam Chomsky
"To oppose the policies of a government does not mean you are against the country or the people that the government supposedly represents. Such opposition should be called what it really is: democracy, or democratic dissent, or having a critical perspective about what your leaders are doing. Either we have the right to democratic dissent and criticism of these policies or we all lie down and let the leader, the Fuhrer, do what is best, while we follow uncritically, and obey whatever he commands. That's just what the Germans did with Hitler, and look where it got them."
Michael Parenti

Honestly, why get mad about what a very small majority of Americans do to the American flag? In no way does it infringe on our right to love and support our country. In fact, it probably makes the majority of Americans feel more patriotic... so following that logic, if Pres. Bush took a dump on the flag, it would probably boost his approval ratings. Sounds crazy but it can't get much worse for him.

Welcome to the "NEW" Democratic party. If you noticed all the new dem congressmen ran as Conservatives. The majority of the country is conservative. BUT most of the new dems are communist, socialist, anarcist, and above all atheist.
The protesters have been led to where they are at now by people that want America to be destroyed. The Two Americas that they talk about means them and everybody else. The protesters are not included in with them. They are like the SS of Hilter. They do the dirty work but as soon as the top people get introuble they will be thrown under the bus. They are just too stupid and blind to see it.
The flag is a symbol of the USA and should not be defaced in any manner BUT it is they're right to do with as they like. It is also the right of ever person that is present at that occasion to BEAT THE LIVING SH!T OUT OF THEM TOO!!!!!!

Are you kidding? We don't even kick out illegal aliens. We do have the right to say that however, and that just means that the people that do it are tasteless. I would rather kick out people that are involved in sex trafficking or child porn. They are the ones who need to be kicked out, and the ones we could do without. As to your last statement about disagreeing, disagreement doesn't mean someone is wrong, it means they see things differently than you do. If you are that upset over someone not agreeing with you, maybe you should try a Prozac.

Why even bother asking this question? you will not support what anyone has to say anyway. It has been deemed freedom of speech by the US Supreme Court. Just because you do not agree does not mean that it can't be freedom of speech. I don't agree with it either, but you can not just throw a temper tantrum and expect the answer that you seek.

These protesters are useless bags of flesh that should be prosecuted and exiled for treason! We should send them over to the Middle East to help the victims of this war.
In response to your question - burning the flag is not a protest, but rather a display of selfish ignorance for five seconds of fame. These people will NEVER be remembered for anything.

I think you have a problem. You can't seperate the ideals of America from the symbol. It's a flag, not a holy grail. If you start worshipping the symbol rather than defending the idea you are as bad as the lunatics who desecrate it.
And don't tell me I hate America

You are obviously biased, and it is not worth my time to try to answer. However, I can not resist a challenge. You are right, many of the protests are taken to extremes, but if the other side were not constantly getting their way, they'd be protesting just as strongly. As long as no one is hurt, it is fine. You have the option to ignore the protesters if you want to.
