I was in a long term relationship and my ex has already moved on already with another girl. In less than 2 months they have gotten engaged. He told me that he has forgotten about me lately. Is it possible to just forget someone that you have been with for almost 8 years just like that? I still think of him everyday, and I just can't see how it is possible to totally forget someone like that. We didn't end in good terms, is it possible that he just said that to try to hurt me? We were each others first love.

You wont ever really, totally forget him. Believe me. But you can learn from this relationship (and break up) and move on. And if he says he's already forgotten about you either he didn't love you at all, or he's lying to make himself feel better. Either way, it's time to try and let go, for your own good. This guy sounds like a jerk.

stop wasting your time , move on you will find your partner. You wont find him until you move on and stop worrying about your ex forgetting you. Why do you even care if you left on bad terms. He may have forgotten you already or he may have said it just to bother you, either way don't let him hurt you anymore. Go out on the night with some girlfriends and get crazy.

Honestly i know how you feel and NO you cant easily forget your first love or even someone that you spent that long with..he may just have a lota baggage from when you two broke up and it may be deeply hurting him everyday bt being a guy he has to act like you dont fase him when in actuallity you do VERY much. he mite of moved on so fast as a way to get rid of you in his heart and yet it may not be working out for him bt hes just acting cruel and acting like he doesnt care..

he didn't just forget u just like that, its been happening for awhile now. he was already seeing her , and making plans behind your back,no i don't think he cares one way or the other if he hurt u, believe him when he says he has forgotten u, to not believe this will keep u in denial and waiting for him to change his mind. it is hard to understand why the love of our life suddenly leaves, and engaged so soon, its because it was already going on behind your back. he isn't as emotional about it, doesn't remember the good times, or the past. unfortunately this is just the way some people are.

Why are you still talking to him. If he said he has forgotten about you then disappear. That is what forgotting is all about. He said that because he is still hurting and wants to hurt you. And, getting engaged after two months is jumping into the hot frying pan. It won't last and if he has the balls to come crawling back to you kick like the dog that he is. LOL........Stay away from him dear he is just being mean spirited. You deserve better. And real LOVE doesn't forget......ever.

What he experience now is totally new for him and is fantastic but maybe not for too long.If he really love you he will coming back, if not, never happen. Anybody cant answer this question,,just the time.Let him fly.Never ever someone forget the first love instantly.

Can we say concussion?? No seriously though these kind of things take time. He's probably going through the same thing as you, but men deal with problems differently. The best thing for you would be to move on and let yourself mourn for awhile. It must be quite a loss for you.

I think you are better off keeping him just a memory of a major part of your life that you experienced and should have learned from. Get over him.....he is obviously over you.
