I absolutly love books so any book that is good for pre-teens/teens are good for me, it doesnt matter how long. I like reading more about chick-flicks but it doesnt matter as long as its good, but never anything about murder or mystery.

Try James Patterson's YA Series Maximum Ride - the first is The Angel Experiment, the second is School's Out Forever and the third Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports comes out in May. If you start now, you should be ready when the third one comes out. Pax - C.

the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood" series is fun too. By Rebecca Wells.
Make sure you read the first in the series first. " Little alters Everywhere"

When I was around 11 I got really into all the original Disney books.
Alice through the Looking Glass. One hundred and one dalmations. humm... Charlie and the chocolate facory and the Glass Elavator. Witches.

Some of them are kinda freaky.. because they're so diffrent from what Walt Disney made them... but they're great.

The little mermaid too.

Disney kinda took all the Grim old Fairytales and sugar coated them for kids. And that's why he rocked :) But now that you're old enough to get it, you should read them.

Try the series of books by Libba Bray. It's about a young girl that lost her mother and has a strong desire to see her again. She is sent to a boarding school and develops "powers" She wrestles with the moral and ethical dilemmas of using them, especially if they can provide a means to see her mother again. One title is "Rebel Angels". Very good books, I really enjoyed reading these.
Try a search, like on Amazon.com to get a more in depth synopsis of the series, plus Libba Bray has a website. I highly recommend! It's definitly a series geared for girls, the first two are out and the third is still in development.
