okay ppl, i have aksed this question before, i need some GOOD quality answers, i REALLY want AIM and i need some advice tht will mkae my parents let me it!! omg im dying w/o it!!

They are probably waiting until you prove you are mature and responsible enough. Judging by the tone of this question, i'd say you have quite a wait ahead of you.

Amanda, I saw all of these answers and some of them are pretty much helpful. However, the best way to persuade people is to let them know how you feel. Especially parents. Tell your mom that you are old enough and mature enough to handle AIM. And you should definetly remind your parents that there are good and bad people no matter where you go or what you do. Its just a matter of looking out for those bad people. (lol) Also remind them of how theywould feel if they were in your shoes and desparately wanted something.

omg! i dont have aim either..this is what im trying..
mom (or dad), i think you should let me have AIM because its a good way to talk to my friends and if im IMing people, then i won't have to use up all my minutes on my cell or text to much.. and calling and texting people cost $$ IMing is free! And it doesn't mess up the computer.. Can i please have AIM??

If you are talking about Aol instant messenger then. Tell then that if they let you get a sn for it then you will do home work online with your friends. its works for that i used to use it to help get my home work done. also you could try talking then into getting one also so you could talk to them while they are at work or if your at a friends house. other than that, Id say have then monitor the chats you have to let them know that ur safe. Thats why they dont want you to have one becaue of sick minded freaks

Why do you REALLY want aim? There has to be a good reason if they do not want you to have it. Unless you can prove that you can be responsible with it... then I'm sure you shouldn't have difficulties persuading them.

Tell her mom..what can i do to get a sn..anything..if she says know..then say what si so bad about it..and if she says no and thats finally then you go in for the bets...I'll do chores..more..MORE..or if i do this or get that...the can i..play with her mined..or talk to either dad or mom...get on there good side for a couple of days by doing so and so..then do this plan..GENIUS!!!!

hey, what i would do is tell her the things she wants to hear like, it's really safe, you only talk to people you know if you have their screen name, and you won't talk to people you don't know. tell her things that will make her think that it is safe and that you will use it in a good way, not a bad way like some people do. hope it works! <3 email me! bye!
