When you ovualate is when you need the sperm available to penetrate the egg and therefore, that is the best time to try to conceive. When you ovulate is really the big question...
Everyone is different... I personally ovulate anywhere from day 9 to 11 (this being from the first day of blood). It will vary on each individual, stress can delay ovulation and therefore throw your whole cycle out of whack and will then cause your period to be later than usual. Your luteal phase will always (within a day) remain the same length of time after you ovulate, so that always helps to know if you have already ovulated.. knowing this, my best advice is to chart your temp, cervical mucous and cervix to get a better understanding of your cycle and then once you have this information, you will get to know and understand your own bodies signal as to when you will ovulate therefore will know when is the best time for YOU to achieve pregnancy. Using over the counter ovualation predictor kits can also assist.
Hope this helps... read the book; Taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler that will explain how it all works much better.. and best of luck to you.

The best time is when you are ovulating.. in that happens after you have your period 4 to 5 days after. Within 14 days you can get pregnant because you are ovulating... Good Luck!!!!!

It differs for every woman (some ovulate early and some later) but average is around day 14 from the first day of your period. If you are ttc then you should start having intercourse on day 10 or 11 and then for every other day after that until day 16.

if you have normal 28 day cycles it is usually around day 11 or 14 (day 1 being the first day of your last period). If you have longer periods I recommend charting so you can find out your ovulation date.

About two weeks after your period STARTS is usually when you're at your most fertile, and you should have sex 2-4 days before that date. It takes sperm a little while to get where it's going.

You ovulate 14 day before (Not after) you period. If you have a regular 28 day cycle then you are better having sex on day 12,14 and 16. Having sex every second say produces better quantity and quality sperm. Good luck
