lets get rid of the whole thing
don't you think pledging allegiance to a flag is silly and pointless
if I'm going to pledge allegience it will be to my family or humanity or the earth
not to a piece of cloth or to a symbol
you should never pledge unqualified allegience to anything, especially something as constantly changing as a nation (what if the USA turns evil? its entirely possible)

The pledge of alleigence is a pretty traditional thing to say, but I think it could be changed if the change was nessesary.

Let's face it. For a lot of people in this country, they'd be doing their civic duty by NOT voting.

well i think its cool. if you actually mean what you say if you dont then dont say it! but i think they should leave it the way it is cuz its dumb to take truth out of it
