Probably because that's what wer'e around the most. In my area the majority is Latinos and blacks, and whites. But my preference is either black or white, cause that's what I know, what I like.

Well....I am currently in a relationship with a Latino myself and I think the reason why people place such a huge emphasis on black/white interracial couples is because of the historical ties between the two races (slavery, segregation, opression....etc)....so if you see a black woman dating an Asian man or a Latino it is not considered a big deal because his ancestors did not oppress the black population.....

I agree that there are a lot of hot guys in many different races. However, I'm happily engaged to a wonderful, handsome Black man.

I have dated a few Latinos, but I mostly get approached by Black guys and the occasional White guy in the clubs.

It's what they're around.

And why should it matter? Do you honestly think black women go out searching for a guy just because he's a certain race?

I'd never go out hunting for a latino guy or a mediterranian guy or an asian guy. Why? I searched for a wonderful guy and I found him!

i too wonder why when people talk about interracial dating its always black/white.

like some have mentioned, i dont think these men really approach black women that often.and black women dont approach them much either.

not to say it doesn't happen. also i think since black women may not know much about the man's culture, they are not quick to get involved. alot of these guys, not all, have ulterior motives, like green cards, sex, etc. they seem to have this stereotype about black women and sex.

my boyfriend is lebanese and i'm black, i have learned alot about the culture, and enjoy the food. i actually feel more comfortable dating a man of color than i would a white guy.

Every black woman has her own preferences. I date only white men, because that is my preference. And to the idiot above me, a lot of white, non/black and non/white men date black women. Two black women I know are getting married this year to white men, and one of the men is Italian. Dont be an ignorant hater!

Did it ever occur to you that maybe some Black women don't want to date outside of their race? Those Black women who want to date men of other cultures do so. Those who don't, don't. Interracial dating is not everyone's cup of tea and that's okay. If you want to date other men, then do so.
