Other parents - no, not unless I see obvious abusive behaviour toward theirs or any other children.
Then sure do judge and what makes me adequate to form that judgement -
As part of the human race, each and every adult on the planet is responsible for the well-being of children everywhere (NOT just our own).

My parents - yes, sadly I do.
Knowledge makes me an adequate judge.

This, by the way is a great question.

I'm a parent and yes I do tend to judge other parents. Generally I don't like parents who don't discipline their kids or make excuses for their behavior. It doesn't do any good to the child as he/she grows up. That is my biggest pet peeve about some parents. It seems they are just so self centered and just don't care about the kid or the people the child impacts on a daily basis.

I am sure there are some parents who have judged me as a too strict parent, but at least I know my son listens to me and will make good choices as an adult; that he will consider himself but also how his decisions have an effect on the people around him.

some of them i do. i am an adequate judge because i am around kids in a afterschool program where i work. the kids who act up have parents who are the same way if not worse. i know it may sound a little silly but i have observed this on many occasions. some parents act worse than kids do. good luck.

It's human nature to judge ppl. I only judge parents if they did a really bad job raising their children.

I can only judge that which I have experienced. Even observation as a 3rd party leaves obscured information necessary to judge. I try not to judge people but my gut tells me that there are a lot of people who shouldn't be allowed to be parents.

I try not to as I'm a parent myself and don't like to be judged. But sometimes its hard not to. I just don't vocalize it the parents themselves. Sometimes they're just having a bad day and I try and take that into consideration.

My degree in Child Development and my 10+ years of working in the Child Development field. And the fact that no matter where I go the State of California REQUIRES me to act as a mandated reporter or I can be fined and go to jail.

Good enough reason?
