If I recall, the male betta has a longer tail fin then the female betta, whose tail is much shorter. However, she can be just as ferocious as the male, and can and will kill her young if given half a chance!!

it particularly is in all probability a boy as they're maximum frequently bought at shops and are lots prettier. adult males have longer fins and extra bright colours, at the same time as women human beings are extra boring and have short fins. I relatively doubt which you have a woman in spite of the incontrovertible fact that by using fact women human beings are oftentimes particularly uncommon in shops. Male bettas are bought as purely "bettas" yet lady bettas for the reason that they're rarer are bought as "lady bettas" you nearly particularly have a boy in case you do not have the understanding to tell the gender for your self.

If it's the stereotypical betta with the elaborate fan tail and long fins, it's a male.
The females are fairly bland-colored, torpedo shaped fish with very short colored fins.

It is very simple, Male bettas have long tails and females have short tails.

Great question!

1. Males have a "beard" under their heads, a bit black.
2. Males blow bubble nests.
3. Males are more long and skinny.
4. Males are more ferocious.
5. Females don't have long finnage like nales.

Males have way longer fins that are fancy looking...and usually they are a very bright color, whereas female fish are smaller, have short fins, and aren't that bright in color.

males are larger usually around three to three and a half inches and have large flowing gaudy fins.
females can be as colorful, but they are smaller, around two inches, and have much much shorter fins.

The males are the ones with bright color & big sail like fins. Females are more neutral colored & moderatally endowed in the fin department....

Depending on how old it is, males tend to have longer fins (usually up to 1" - 1.5" long), females have shorter, rounded fins (around .25" long). As for color, I have females that are just as vibrantly colored as my males.

male betas are far more extravagant than females. Their colors are more vibrant and their tails are much , much longer. The males are generally larger in size as well.
