find a girlfriend and they have puppies.for onr episode only.why did they stop drawing santas little helper's girlfriend and the puppies for later episodes?

he did,but bart and lisa got them back remember?

i just woulda liked to see more of those little dogs :(

like almost every simpson's episode, nothing carry's over to the next. they have no arcing storyline's so you can watch any episodes from any season in any order and not be lost with the plot lines. everything always goes back to the same and no one ever talks about it, the characters even speak about this in several episodes.

The real answer is, because its a cartoon. But, since you ruled that out in the question, my made up answer is......Homer got Santa's Little Helper from some guy who owned him and used him for racing. (He sucked, by the way, and seeing as how Homer did this on Xmas Eve, and gave the dog to the kids as a present, they named it 'Santa's Little Helper') He, (Santa's Little Helper, not Homer) was out late one night, doing some illegal dog racing, when he first saw the female dog you mentioned. In the episode you ask about, their meeting is not really the first, but SLH's attempt to woo the other dog. She accepted, and got pregnant, but SLH found out, and pretended he didn't know her, and her, being a race dog groupie, had no credibility, so, nothing was proved, and he continued to live his life, child, and woman, free.
