That is the power of the veto is it not. Senate just approved. Is there anyway to bring this measure forward despite what power the president has?

Procedure and tradition govern the treatment of vetoed bills returned by the President. On receipt of the vetoed bill, the President’s message is read into the journal of the receiving house. After entering the message into the journal, the House of Representatives or the Senate, complies with the constitutional requirement to “reconsider” by laying the measure on the table (essentially stopping further action on it), referring the bill to committee, postponing consideration to a certain day, or immediately voting on reconsideration (vote on override). yes congress can over ride the veto!

He may very well veto that one but, it won't matter the president better accept the fact that our troops deserve to
be treated like humans not slaves! Have you read any of their last letters? They went in there knowing it was pointless but, did what was asked until they either lost a limb or was killed.
This president is responsible for the murders of every one!!!!
Bush can veto it but congress will just vote on it and override
what ever he says or does.
