John Edwards and his Wife???

We have all heard that John Edwards wife is battling Breast cancer.. but, a few years ago this woman was introduced as his mother- in - law?? Am I right or wrong? Is there a presidental order that states we can interchange people because they look alike and are in the same family??

nope they have been married since 1977
