Call your OB and get a referal to a Lactation consultant. Or call back up to the post partum floor where you delivered, there is usally one there.
Another possibility is to find who the contacts are for the local chapter of the Le Leche league.

You can try expressing a little bit of milk after the feed, putting it on your nipple and letting it dry.
Has anybody checked the baby's latch? If the baby is latched on wrong, breastfeeding will be painful, this can be corrected. A nurse or a lactation consultant can help you with this.
I found lanolin cream was the cream that worked best.
If your baby is latched properly and you are using creams, it can still hurt for a few days.
When my daughter was born, it really hurt, about as bad as if I stubbed my toe! I was worried that she was latched on wrong, but everybody reassured me she was latched on correctly. Fear not, this will go away soon, it will take a few days but it will start getting better!
If it is the whole breast, not just the nipple, there are two possible causes. One is engorgement, for this you can put warm washcloths on your breasts. This will go away as your body gets used to your baby's feeding habits. The other is a blocked duct/mastitis. There will be a tender area in your breast. If it has progressed to mastitis you will be having flu-like symptoms and/or a fever. If you have a blocked duct you can massage your breaast and feed your baby frequently. If it is mastitis you will need to see your doctor.
In prenatal class the public health nurse said that if you can make it through the first three weeks, then you are set as far as breastfeeding goes.

It may be because you are engorged, or the baby could be latched on wrong. I would go to a breast feeding website and see what answers you might get there. But first, after you have feed baby about an hour after. Put warm water on your breast and then milk them a little and see if that help the pain. If your breast or nipples are sore from the sucking then usually the cream is what helps. But you might also try spreading a little of your on milk on the nipple as well.

unfortunately you need to give it a little time- you are probably engorged which is making is difficult for you baby to truly latch on in a comfortable fashion. use the creme until your nipples toughen up a bit. After enough time the whole experience will actually begin to feel good- if you can make it that far, and don't feel bad if you don't . breastfeeding is NOT for everybody or every baby.

That's normal. They do hurt. It should lesson as the baby get's some of that milk out of there. When they hurt bad, it usually means feeding time. Your breasts will go on a schedule according to how often the baby feeds. The more it drinks, the more you will make. The more "often" the baby feeds, the more "often" you will make milk. You'll get used to it and it won't hurt so bad after awhile. I commend you for breastfeeding. Many don't these days. Happy Mothering!

Breastfeeding is really hard at first for this reason and others. But, trust me. In time it will be pain-free and oh so easy- especially at night time or when away from home. Your baby will always have milk available when you both need it.
For now, see a lactation consultant and be tough! Later you will be a big help to other young moms because of your own experience with this.
Best wishes!

did you go to a breastfeeding class? if you did not, you HAVE TO find a lactation consultant, try the hospital , ask for a lactation consultant, or information on what to do to get baby sucking right. its very important that you do this right away, becuase if you are in pain theres something wrong with the way baby is latched on to your nipple. your baby might not be getting enough to eat! thats not good! best of luck to you

Do you mean the nipple or the breast? If it's sore nipples it's probably just learning to position the baby propery. I would suggest calling LeLeche Leauge. They are great about helping with problems nursing.

They will be tender for days, as your milk is coming in. Call the Dr if it gets worse. Now days I'm sure they have something to give you. Just remember everything you eat or drink so does the baby.

I think it's called engorging when your boobs hurt like that. It happened to me 2 days after I had my baby. Try running warm to slightly hot water over your breasts while your in the shower. It works.
