Is there any reason (besides funning around) that people throw shoes onto powerlines?

When I was with the Marines, we'd tie our boots together and throw them up on the lines. Why? It signifies that you're getting out of the Marine Corps, or you're transferring to another duty station! At any rate, the Base General along with the Sergeant Major didn't think it was funny. :(

It's usually done to show you're leaving the area. When I was in high school, during one peroid, I and all students went outside and found a discarded pair of shoes. We threw it up there. It was a good memory.

It's not easy as it look, took all of us a lot of efforts.

I don't see many on the power lines But I see dozens on certain trees on 395 I've assumed they are a victory jester on winning the high school sports events.
Our teams Boy's and Girls are very good and often in the state finals.

Thank god you asked this. I hate when people do that stuff. They risk me losing power and their lives to do it. I don't know why on Gods green Earth would do such a thing. I will pay attention so That I can get an answer.

DDDDDDDDDDRRRRRRRRUUUUGGGGS! its a sign! theres a few others you should look out for eg cars pulling up the house all the time or people knocking on your door and asking if you have a chanderlair

I don't really think so, its usually just showing their jeuvinille behavior regardless of age.

Or then again maybe its just an electrifying experience for them.

yes that usually means that theres is drug dealing around tthe neighborhood and you should get them down quickly because that lets everyone kno that people sell drugs there and its okay...
