Apparently if you boil water with a half onion, then let the water cool down and give the baby a teaspoon of it - it will make them burp but I don't like the sound of it myself. I use Infacol.

My son had colic, we found the only thing that worked was Colysynth granules, you put about 6 granules on babys toungue 20 minutes before a feed, really helped, they are quite expensive (about a fiver) but well worth it, you can get them at Boots, good luck!

I always used Dentinox colic drops as you add it too the milk before you give it to them. Because the stuff is in the bottle it breaks the wind up as they are drinking and they burp quicker. I always found that the "wind on every ounce" worked best for my son who suffered terrible.
Infacoll only gets the first lot of wind up. imho.

never heard of that but i can recommend a good drugstore remedy - Ovol. tastes nice, and it's basically peppermint extract which relieves gas. used it on my (screamin her head off made me wanna scream my head off too) daughter in her first 3 mths of life. worked like a charm and worked even better if you put a few drops in baby's mouth before a feed, so the stuff goes down first and pushes out the gas. try it, it really works! it's in a pink box with a pic of a baby on it.

there isnt anything you can do to get rid of colic--babies just have to outgrow it.
but, if you hold the baby more during the day--they will cry less at night

No I haven't heard that one! Surely it'd make it worse, not better? Even if it did help, and I very much doubt that it would, it would cause other problems such as tummy ache and acid.
Have you tried the over the counter remedies?
