Write a research paper. I just need help developing a topic and a thesis. I was interested in the struggle against apartheid in south africa. Im in my second year of college.

Your topic must be direct and spark interest for your reader to continue. As far as your thesis think more like a paraphrase of what you will break down in the following paragraphs.
For instance: Apartheid in South Africa, a different time with the same struggle
then the thesis would simply restate that and highlight the things you would further elaborate upon in your paper.

If you want something a bit different discuss the connection between apartheid and the Cold War. One of the things which the old regime had going for it in South Africa is that it was anti-communist. Therefor it had the support of those who thought the struggle against the Soviet Union was more important than the struggle for the rights of non-whites in South Africa.
