she is going to have to try to get passed the nausea and find a food that she enjoys and can hold down.
For me it was chicken broth and crackers. I had horrible morning sickness for 2 months straight and lost over 10 pounds. I stopped taking my prenatals and stayed away from candy because I realized the trend that every time i had candy, the following day my morning sickness was worse.
She needs to try to get out of bed, and walk around. She needs to keep down plenty of fluids as well.
Go to the store and get her favorite fruits. Cut a couple of them up and sit in there with her and try to coherse her into taking a couple of bites here and there. She does need to eat a little somthing.. Everyday "for the babies sake" regaurdless of my nausea and vomiting, I made myself eat a peanut butter sandwich, a cup of chicken broth and an apple. That way I got some fats, proteins, carbohydrates, a fruit and some fluids. I kept at it until I could tolerate more food and eventually one morning I woke up feeling great. The morning sickness subsided and only came about once a week instead of every day.

she could try taking the vitamins at different times of day, also, has she seen her doctor? there are a couple of meds out there specifically designed for morning sickness, if they don't work, (I was allergic, and throwing up 30 to 50 times/day) you may have to smoke pot - the doctors at the hospital said under 3 grams/day won't harm the baby, and studies back that up.
Other than meds, she may need help with basic housework, laundry (I'm still not caught up, and my baby's 5 months!), dishes, cooking, etc.
You are a great friend to help her through this very hard time, hope she feels better soon! (at worst, like me, it'll be over a few hours after giving birth)

My doctor recommended half a tablet of Unisom before bed in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin - and it seriously helped a lot!

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed. I would get off the prenatal vitamins for now. They make ya sicker, what worked for me was crackers or any sort, milk and bread. And avoid anything that has made her sick before. It should settle down for her here soon. Lets hope!

I never had morning sickness but I have heard those saltine crackers are the best. She can also talk to her doctor and if it is severe he can prescribe her with a medicattion that is safe to take. I hope she gets to feeling better! She must be miserable.

I went through that with my second child. Turns out it was the prenatal vitamins that were doing it to me. It's safe to eat Flintstones instead if she wants to try that.

I just bought ginger ale and lots of giner thingsl ike ginger cookies ect. Also, smelling lemon when you feel sick can sometimes help. good luck!
