Okay, so I "met" this guy online over a year ago. Evidence points to him being truthful in all he has said, and I know I have told only the truth. Both of us have been careful not to give away anything too personal, such as where we live or where we are near... But I like him, as a friend. He says he is 18 - was 17 when we first "met" - and I am 16 now, 15 the. So, the thing is, I would like to meet him someday, when I'm 18 if we're still in contact, through instant messaging mostly, though we have emails too, which I believe we will be. But, is this a good idea? How would I go about asking to meet...? When should I do it, if at all? Please any advice and personal experiences would be well appreciated. Thank you everyone.

Just be careful. When you're 18, and you still want to meet him, insist on bringing a friend in a public place. But, before that, have some conversations with him on the phone.
Sometimes, these online buddies are best left at that, online buddies.
