It's not what you should be looking for the multi to contain, it's all about what it should NOT contain!
Look at the ingredients list, past all the vitamins and minerals, and look for NO ADDED artificial preservatives, artificial flavours, colours, artificial sweeteners.
Liquid is best absorbed by the body, capsule is second best, tablet is third. Pricing will reflect the format. Buy the best quality you can afford, but also don't buy a liquid that you will not take because you don't like the taste or because it is inconvenient. Don't buy capsules if the daily dosage is 4 per day and you know that you'll be lucky to remember to take one. The brand and type of multi should reflect your lifestyle and needs.
Keep healthy!

There is no magic pill but a poll from the FDA put the following multivitamins in order of most effectiveness:
1/ Herbalife, Formula 2 multivitamin
2/ GNC, multivitamin
3// Gresham Mutlistrong
The top one has come out top many times before and they have been around for years with nutrition and vitamins etc. There is a website where you can get the top range all natural ones, its www.myhealthabc.net, they have links to go and buy direct or you can get free advice first before buying. I hope this helps you.

Personally, I prefer Supradyn from Roche and you could try that if it's available in your area.
The best way to select a multi-vitamin supplement is to choose a brand made by reputed companies. Such companies will have "ethical" drugs- which means they can be sold only on prescription or are promoted only through doctors and hospitals but available in pharmacies across the counter. These are generally better since such multi-vitamin pills are specifically MADE to treat deficiencies. Medical practitioners also prescribe them for patients. Usually, a multi-vitamin, multi-mineral combination is better. Centrum is another good brand.
I do NOT go for brands made by companies that specialize only in making Over The Counter (OTC) medicines. That's because these companies do not usually have research and development departments of their own and copy or concoct formulas that suit them the best- for maximizing profits. Their labels also carry a disclaimer written in very fine print that would merit reading under a microscope, which CLEARLY states: "This medicament is not intended or claimed to prevent, treat or diagnoze any medical condition" or similar words.

Hi,
Have you ever heard of Himalayan Goji Juice? This is more like a magic drink. Extensive scientific research over the past 20 years has shown that, in acute and chronic inflammation, the free radical superoxide is produced at a rate that overwhelms the capacity of the body’s SOD enzyme defense system to remove them. Such an imbalance results in pain and damage to joints and tissues. Goji can restore the balance of the important anti-inflammatory SOD enzyme.

Emergen-C fizzing drink packs are the absolute best. They have the most life-force and taste yummy. I heard a doctor on the radio a few weeks ago that said studies are now showing that vitamins can increase your risk of disease because too much is as bad as too little. Best off by eating high quality foods: salads, raw nuts, fresh and dried fruits, diverse veggies, whole grains and sneak in some seaweed now and then.

Vitamins are one of the great scams foisted on the public. Most of the vitamins sold today are synthetic(isolates created in the lab) and your body will reject them as waste.Your body will only recognize and use Whole Food Supplements that are recognized as food. You cannot fool mother nature.Go to www.dna911.info This company manufactures their own whole food supplements that work.Spend your $$$ carefully.

each person is different so needs a different vitamin. it depends what you need.
i'm 24 and in reasonable health so i take a multi vitamin with an extra vitamin c, the 'c' keeps my immune system up.
i was going to take b vitamins too for my hair, skin and nails but you find this in lots of foods instead.
ypur best bet is a good healthydiet with plenty of friut and veg and a multi vitamin a day.
