Okay, I am female... and this guy in my Chem class and I get along great, but people think he is gay.. its great if I have a buddy for life, but I would rather have a relationship, eventually... could someone help?

Ask him as the others say, but be prepared to have him get offended if he happens to be straight. You might try a more subtle approach like getting to know his friends, asking him to dinner, etc. He may be shy about "outing" himself, so understand that it will take some time if you go this route.

best way ASK HIM. Of course he will say no, hem and haw how could you, then calm down, if he protests TO much then a light should go off (thou protest to much).
I asked my ex over and over (something told me he was) sure enough he is. he fought telling the truth for a long time (and 2 kids). Go with your gut, it's usually right

If he has long hair that isn't in a ponytail,cornrow etc.,if he has earrings in both ears,if he wears tight clothes or girly clothes or if he has a relashonship with another guy- he's gay
