I have a feeling if the Republicans in Congress keep siding with Exxon and Halliburton, a lot more of them are going to lose their jobs in 2008.

What kind of goofy statement is that?
These type of rants are a contributing factor to what will be a monumental defeat of the liberal left wing of the Democratic party in 2008. Or maybe 2010. Who knows? But the changes will come, and the rants will be like cackling crows on a telephone wire.
The problem isn't Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat, It's looney nutball crazy people coming out of the fever swamp. I'll agree that you see it from both sides, and none of it helps ANYBODY.
Also, Reagan's legacy is still living on today. If it wasn't for the economic reforms instituted in the 80's we would not be as prosperous as we are today. Read the attached article and learn something.

Yes, it's a great start! Then later we could vote out all the Democrats when we find a party worth caring about. But yes, meanwhile, getting rid of the Republicans would be fantastic! We no longer live in a feudal society and we do not need them.

America's solution??? Oh wait... now I get it... "OUR" problem means, "Those of us who hate Bush, Reagan, Republicans, or anyone who disagrees with OUR point of view." Really, that sounds more like YOUR problem, not America's problem.
For people who preach tolerance and "just getting along," you have no desire... none whatsoever... to tolerate any point of view besides your own. You are correct and everyone else is wrong. For heaven's sake, you keep saying that "republicans/conservatives" are closed-minded and intolerant, and do not respect the views of others. But in practice, you are the intolerate ones who call others names (like "idiots"), and are so narrow-minded that you refuse to accept anyone who disagrees with you. Not only do you have no respect for an opposing viewpoint, you have no respect for the person who holds that point of view.
Get off your high-horse and start practicing what YOU preach!

Why in the world would you want a one-party political system? Russia and China have that in their history. Look at the shape they are in after decades and decades of a one-party system. Look at Cuba! It's deteriorating daily. The doctors in their fine medical system are defecting in droves. Why would people tie innertubes together and float 90 miles from Cuba to Florida to get away from that cruddy one-party nation?

Yes, let's vote for all democrats. Let's make it a one party country. Taxes would be through the roof...abortion clinics on every corner...terrorists would be running amok...Christmas would be cancelled...Easter would become an underground holiday...gee, I look forward to that.
