The connection between chelsea & celery is , that chelsea fans throw it while singing the song celery . This goes back years i first heard it @ chelsea in 1986 & it was being sung for years before that .

it is has be with the chelsea song during the 1980's and it is about celery. It is just there tradition anyway at first i was curious about it since lately the police are arresting fans which has celery with them during chelsea matches.
