My best friend goes to Stonybrook and my cousin goes to Binghamton. Based on what they tell me about their schools, I think Stonybrook seems to be the better choice. My friend loves SB while my cousin tells me that people keep leaving Bing and she doesnt like it there too much herself. The only good thing about Bing is that it is considered as "The ivy of the SUNYs" b/c of their academics. But SB is also a very good school academically. Both are kinda tough to get into and have good reps in general, but if you want a school that has more a more exciting campus life as well as great academics, I'd say SB all the way! I also feel that SB is more diverse. Hope I helped!

Oh, and according to collegeboard.com, both have engineering and the major is just as popular at both schools. Not sure which one is better though.

stony brook is definitely nicely-known for its medical/technology. im finding at stony brook and binghamton as nicely and that i stay to tell the story long island - i understand i will get into stony and im hopin on gettin into binghamton, yet in the tip i visit prob elect binghamton over stonybrook for the reason that is a lots extra advantageous college (extra aggressive, selective) even nonetheless my substantial is chemistry and that i'd desire to pass to stony brook. i purely want to get off of long island lol, i dont want to stay right here haha. stony brook is beter for nursing i assume binghamton is extra of a corporation schoool tho
