regular license first then motorcycle permit then road test
for your M endorsement.you have to earn it just like
everything else.get used to it.

This will vary from state to state. Here in Wyoming you must first apply for your auto permit (at age 15). At any time after that you may take the written motorcycle exam and get your motorcycle permit. You can ride your motorcycle (with certain restrictions) when you are 15.
At age 16, you will get your motorcycle endorsement after either having taken the road test, or passed the MSF class. You can pass the MSF class at any time while you are 15, but you will still be classed as a permit till you turn 16.
Check with your state's agency that handles driving licences to see what your specific procedures and requirements are.

i got my permit when i was 14 then the licence at 16
lets make this more clear, this may just be my state.
on my 14th birthday i went to the DMV
i took BOTH written tests, no break between
after i finished the second test, the results from both were given to me
they gave me a learner's permit for car and another for bike
on my 16th birthday i went and passed the tests, got a picture taken, got one licence, a D M1

go online to you states DMV type in "[enter state name here] dmv" in google and it should be the first one trhen is there is a search bar then type in motorcycle.
