robotripping...wow does anyone do that anymore?
Robotripping comes from the "trippy experience" you get when you down a large bottle of robitussin (cough medicine). The active ingredient in Robitussin that gives you the feeling you've eaten magic mushooms or dropped acid is dextromethorphan (DXM). DXM is potentially dangerous, so people who "robotrip" and injest large quantities are really hurting their bodies. excess DXM will make you feel euphoric, and make things you see and hear seem clearer. afterwards, you'll feel sick and not be able to sleep well.
DON'T DO IT! Many a user has wound up in the emergency room from this. DON'T DO IT! No, it's not safe!
and...most cough medicines today are sold with expectorants in them in addition to DXM, so if you try to down a bottle, you'll just end up throwing up anyway.
