Is there something that could have prevented someone from being gay? Is it environment?is it life itself?

Who the hell would choose to be gay?!? It is so much easier to be straight. You are what you are. It is not a choice! It is just how they are. Homosexuality does occur in nature in other types of animals. And to my understanding it is about the same percentage rates as in the human population 8-10%.

I don't think it's something that can be prevented. I think it is a choice but it's also something inside of you. I feel that you are what you. Some people feel it's a choice in a sense you choose to deny or embrace what you are. Do I believe everyone is born gay? No...but I do feel you are what you are. So why does it matter really?

I don't think its by choice.. its just something you feel it right. regardless of environment or lifestyle. Its just life!! I mean its the same as saying did you choose to be born or did you choose to be a man.. no.. you didn't its life..
And i don't really think half the gay community out there would choose to be gay knowing that there is a chance they can be outed, ridiculed or worse.. who would choose to do that..

I think that you're born the way you are you can't help some things. Your parents can teach you manners and you might get some characteristcs off them but you are your own person. I don't think you get up one morning and decide i'm gay. You cannot prevent someone from being gay! It's life itself. Hope that helped!!

.All I know is I support it, I mean that is their deal...not mine. and it's their lifestyle, I need to worry about myself, and not other people (at least in that aspect).
.Anyways...I bet if you polled so many gay people, and asked them that question you might not get the same repetitive answer you'd hope for. Because you have to admit that YES a lot of people (gay or straight) are subconciously influenced by the media hype over a lot of things. Therefore one gay person might answer that question in all honesty, while another may say something in regards to why society believes they are gay. Ya know?!
**Ugh...wow this sort of topic is always tough, just because like I mentioned above: There is no right or wrong answer.**

I personally think its a choice people make because i know for sure...(being the christian that i am) God created man to be straight...and i know thats a common thing to hear..but its so true!! People that are gay seem to be the people that are not always happy w/ what they have..so they find any way to make themselves happy. And please anyone who reads this dont take it the wrong way. this question asked for an opinion..and i gave it the nicest way possible.

Its choice. But you wouldn't wake up one morning and choose to be gay or straight. It's feelings as well.
