You must speak to someone, being it a friend, family member, colleague or professional psychologist.
You're absolutely not alone when it comes to depression. Every human being at some level or another experiences depression caused by many reasons. Given your unknown reasons, I would truly recommend you go out and read a book. The more you analyze your matters the more confused you might become - getting a a brain freeze over analysis paralysis. So, Spring is coming...it's beautiful here in NJ today and I went out to get a smoothie along with some errands I had to run. Why dont you do the same? Get out and about...and just some fresh Oxigen might do the trick. Be well and cheers :-)

I too felt this way a few months ago. I got really sad for no reason and was close to suicide. One of my friends told me to go see a psychiatrist just for the heck of it. She put me on some medication and after a few weeks it started to work and even though I am still struggling with depression, it has really made a difference. With a psychiatrist you don't talk alot about your problems, mainly they treat the symptoms. I'm also seeing a psychologist once a week and it really helps having that outlet where I know what I say is confidential. It helps to vent even if it's only for 1 hour a week. I really would suggest that you try to get into at least a psychologist and get their recommendation on whether or not you should take medication. It may take a while, it's been about 7 months for me, but things will get better a little bit at a time. Good luck.

Sometimes people can't pin point a reason they are depressed. It has to do with a neurotransmitter imbalance that causes these feelings. You don't need an event to cause depression. It is an imbalance in the body that creates these feelings you have.
You need to talk to someone like a psychologist or a licensed professional, maybe an SSRI or other antidepressant can help, your doctor will be able to decide this. You don't have to live with these feelings and you aren't alone. Many people have clinical depression. I hope you get the help you deserve and need.

That's not really true. You do know why.
You just have been refusing to believe.
You have been suffering with this for
some time now. It has even made you
physically ill. The stress you are under
can be relieved. You just need to learn
to let go. You are holding on to some
thing or someone that is causing you
pain. They have betrayed you and you
can not except that this is the truth.
You need to move on with your life.
Move on with the new future. Let the
past be the past. It is over.
There is someone that has been waiting
for you to be free and get your head out
of the clouds. Go back to being the old you.
The one with a smile for everyone, not the
guy that is too busy feeling sorry for himself
to notice others and even friends. It's time to
go out and have a good time. Start to live.
Trust in your ability to be a good man.
Good guys don't always finish last. Have Faith.

It can be really painful and awful to be depressed. I suggest that you talk with a professional who can help you explore the underlying reasons for your depression in the context of a safe, therapeutic relationship. It is common for people not to know why they are depressed. I also suggest that you join a group (led by a professional) so that you know you are not alone. You can find such a group therapist through this website: www.agpa.org and "find a therapist" This organization specializes in using groups to help people like you. Lastly, please consider reading the book, "Happiness is a Serious Problem" by Dennis Prager. It's great. Please connect with a professional about your depression.

i go in and out of depression all the time. its been a big thing in my life. right now im doing pretty good... but this only happened two weeks ago. before that i wanted to kill myself everyday. literally just sick and hated everything. im really sorry, its really hard being so sad and feeling so alone. i would suggest just getting outside where you can breath fresh air. do something you enjoy doing. dont let other people bring you down either.... they dont matter, and they have no idea what is going on inside your head either. i would say go see a doctor. i went to one, and he really helped me out a lot.

Whenever I get depressed I go help someone else. Volunteer somewhere, see that life is not that bad, you could be a lot worse off.

Could be a chemical imbalance. Go see a psychologist. They will give you a full evaluation and probably put you on a sort of anti depressant.
