We have xbox 360, dav-dx375 sony home theatre system, lcd hdtv sony KDL46XBR2 and a cable box dvr. I can hook up xbox to tv and get picture but no surround sound. I can hook up to home theatre system and get sound but no picture. We do not have optical plug on home theatre system, but we have an hdmi plug from the home theatre system to tv and an hdmi plub from the cable box to the tv. Any suggestions?

How do you have your cables hooked up? I tried all combinations and can't do it.

hav you tried hooking up your audio from xbox to the cable box. or the svideo?

You should be able to run the video into the TV and the sound into the home theater setup. I don't have the same model, but that is how I have mine setup.
