My fiance is currently disputing her claim that he didn't pay child support. I know he abided by their "verbal" agreement. I also know that it means little to nothing if it isn't written on paper. He's got actual proof and an attorney now. My problem is that she's holding their daughter ransom and our son is very upset that he can't see his sister. (we had a child together before they got married) This is in addition to the mental anguish the kid went through when they got divorced(because she cheated), and she convinced him to get back together, before it was finalized and then convinced him not to contest anything in the divorce papers "because they were going to get remarried", and then she cheated again. So not only is she ruining her own life, she's screwing up her daughters, and our son's life, as well as making me angry. Does any one have any legal advice?

If hes got an attorney then just follow his advice as hes handling it now. This is games people play for whatever reason. Hopefully he has receipts for any money he paid her. Just let your atty know about everything and good luck

First of all, you need to BUTT out. This is none of your business and you have no LEGAL say or standing in the matter.

The father MUST pay child support and the mother MUST make the child available for visitation. If this isn't being done, then go to court and let a judge settle it.

This will mean your fiance will need to get a lawyer and sue for regular visitation. At the court appearance, child support will be determined by the needs of the child and the income of the father.

Stop playing games, blaming the ex-wife, making excuses for your fiance....and stay out of it. If he wants to try and avoid child support payments then he will have to put up with the nonsense from his ex.

there is nothing you can do if there is no legal binding agreement. file a suit for paternity, then file a claim for visitation and or custody and try to get custody or visitation. then if she does not abide by the courts order you can prosecute. right now you cant do anything.

Whoa! Where in the Ozarks do you live? You're one of the causes of the mess you're in. If you marry this guy you will be stuck with his ex until she croaks. What's happening now is just the first episode of your miserable life together. At least postpone the wedding until he gets straight with her one way or the other.

If he has visitation per the divorce, she is in contempt of court for withholding his visitation. Talk to your attorney and let him/her handle it.

verbal agreements don't stand up in a court of law, hell the guy promised her anything to get rid of her.
