I'm happy about some things and miserable about others. I have a successful grown son, DIL and grandaughter who have a cat and a dog. So one of each. And thinking of anything that can and does go wrong, these are still the most important "things" to me. Happy, eh. That's relative. My day to day life sucks, as I'm sure it does for a lot of people. But I have something (the most important "things") to look forward to in between.

yes i have everything i need and want, except enough money of course, but what can money do for u, and my entire family is healthy and seem to b happy also, so yes i am happy

it depends the condition we lived at, what we've done, who's our friends, what kind of our hood.
when you say, only for this question, i have a lot of friends in my hood, then you're categorized "happy".
well, matter in fact, i got no best friend in my life for now. but i have thousands of friend. and i'm happy for that. are you?
