I think alot of women wear there hair like that during there morning sickness for the first 3 months. After that most women feel more like doing something with there hair.

Because pigtails is a sign of youngness. And they wear pigtails while in a very mature state because it is like a juxtaposition between maturity and immaturity. They think it makes them look younger. Kind of like, "look how grown up and mature I am...NOT!"

when Im having a bad hair day i put my hair in a ponytail or pig tails or braids I like it cause it makes me look younger hahha
