and I don't sound like a dummy. I belong to a dating site that has a "live chat" feature. When i try to connect to "live chat" to talk to a friend, it says download "flash". I go to Macromedia Flash and it says I already have it downloaded. Any suggestions?? Thank you so much.

Try going back to http://www.adobe.com and look for the Downlaod section. This time, pick SHOCKWAVE and install that. Test with this video http://www.ruppertandcompany.com/LandscapeVideo.htm

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Install whatever version is on the Adobe / Macromedia site. It may be a newer version that your site requires.

If you havent already done so, either reboot the pc, or go to control panel, add delete programs - delete flash macro.... and then reinstall it from the site you mention..... this should correct the problem good luck

Try downloading the latest version.

Maybe you're using an incompatible browser?

Yea...Uninstall flashplayer then reinstall it...
Go to Adobe for the uninstaller.
Fixed that problem when that happened to me.
