Sounds like maybe it could be Repetitive Strain Injury.
You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repetitive_strain_injury :-)

You don't sound old enough to have the financial disease called carpal tunnel. You sound like you are athletic and in school. If you didn't hit you hand on something than you probably strained it during gym. It takes time even for a kid to heal. Enjoy life and for gods sake don't get surgery on it. Carpel tunnel victims are never cured ask one, even the DR. will tell you it will reoccur if the routine doesn't change. Have fun as a kid and don't be pressured to get cut on.

that is what is called carpal tunnel syndrome. it is when the tunnel in the wrist becomes inflamed. it happens by doing repetaed motions with the same hand (ie the way you lay ur hand when u get up out of a chair). it is not serious but should be seen by and md cause if not treated it can require surgery.

This seems to me like carpal tunnel or repetative motion syndrome-- it feels just as painful to pick up a glass of water as it is to pick up a gallon of water.
Use a wrist brace and try not to use your hand-- it really does not go away overnight.
