There really isn't a specific method for translating English names into Chinese. I tried that yahoo translation site (being that I'm Chinese) and typed in my english name, no it did not give me my correct Chinese name. When Chinese people come to the US they either create for themselves a whole new name e.x. Jackie Chan (Jackie having nothing to do with his Chinese name) or a name that sounds similar in pronounciation to their Chinese name like Yao Ming, even though of course the way American people pronounce Yao is not the proper pronounciation of the chinese character represented by Yao in Chinese.
So if you wanted a Chinese name, you can pretty much just pick one for yourself or ask someone to make one up for you that sounds like the English word Karen in pronounciation.
