Since HBO's Rome, I've become very curious about the REAL story of Cleopatra, how many kids she had, the events of her death, etc. The last episode of Rome showed her and Marc Antony's corpses being paraded in a triumph through Rome, so I'd like to know how much is true, etc. Can any Egyptophiles lead me in the right direction?

She had a son by Ceaser and a son and a daughter by Marc antony. There are many great books about her, get one. Her's is agreat story that is very intersting. She killed herself by allowing an asp ( a very posiouns snake) to bite her whne she learned that her lover Marc Antony had commited suicide rather than be captured alive by Octavious's army whom he was fighting in a sea battle.
