Which one is better?

how much time do you have? although either park would take several days, you can probably see everything in Disneyland in two to three days (if you include California Adventure). why? because it has smaller parks and everything is together. so you can walk from one place to another. some of the classic rides are a little better because they are longer. the newer rides are almost the same. but there are some rides that you will find in California that you will not find in Florida (Indiana Jones comes to mind).

Disney World is four different theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom) plus water parks, shopping area, etc. if you just want to see the theme parks you will probably have to spend at least one day per park and you will still probably not be able to see everything. also each park is separate. so getting from one to the other takes time.

Most people like the first park they go to. i have been to both and since i grew up going to Disney World, i like DW better. but whenever i get a chance, i still like to go to Disney land because that is the original theme park.

if you like Disney, you can't go wrong with either one. i would recommend that you go and have fun.

Disney World

Walt Disney World is better than Disneyland. I think so anyway. Although Disneyland is the original, Walt Disney World is much larger and has a lot more to offer. Disneyland only has two theme parks, a Downtown Disney District, and three hotels. Walt Disney World has four massive theme parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney, a sports complex, over 25 resort options, and all sorts of recreation.

I've never been to Disneyland, but I've been to Disney World at least 10 times. Going to Disney World is a great experience...not just going to the 4 parks, (and 2 water parks)but actually being immersed in the Disney atmosphere. It is huge and there is so much to do - besides the parks, there is Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, Cirque du Soleil, Disney Quest, golf courses, and so much more. There are many, many Disney resorts to choose from - anywhere from deluxe to value - and I would definitely recommend staying in one of their resorts other than one of the other hundreds of hotels in the area. The only drawback to DW is that it is so big that you can't do everything in one trip, so you will have to pick and choose or you will be disappointed. On you first trip, if you are going for 5-7 days, I would recommend just trying to hit all 4 parks, and take a day or two to shop, swim (or go to a water park), or rest.

Disney World is better, It has everything and more! Disneyland has drive up and walk in parking. It's the original Disney, so it is special but.... In Disney World you take a monorail into the park. The monorail is free and fun, you'll go through the Contemporary Hotel right over the Chef Mickey restaurant. When you're in Disney World you can also choose to get a park hopper ticket and visit Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom all in one day, that is IF you have it in you to just keep going. Have fun and rest well before you go! =)

I've only been to Disneyland, but I've heard that between Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom only, Disneyland is better, but between the two resorts as a whole, Disney World is better, since it has more to do. But I don't think either one is actually the "better" of the two--I think people just like one more than the other (and it's often the one they grew up visiting or have been to the most) and that makes it better for them.

I think that's probably the case with me--I can't wait to visit Disney World someday (it looks amazing), but I think I will always like Disneyland more, partially because I went there first. Plus, knowing that Walt Disney was actually there at one point makes it even more magical. I know it's small, but that adds to its charm. =]

I've been to both and I like Disney World better. There's 4 parks instead of two. Both have a lot of the same rides but they aren't always the same, like Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney World has a bunch of different rides the California doesn't have, like the Aerosmith Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest. Check out both and decide for yourself!

It really depends on what you are looking for. Disney World is bigger, but takes longer to get around. Disney Land is smaller, and most of the common rides are better at Disneyland than at Disney World. For example, Pirates of the Caribbean is good at disneyland, with multiple drops, but is completely lame at Disneyworld.

I'm going to have to side with Disneyland.
a-) It's the only park Walt Disney went to, so it's got Walt's fingerprints all over it.

b-)It's much more charming then Walt Disney World. Although Disney World is an amazing experience, Disneyland (for me) provided a much more magical and enjoyable experience.

c-)In my opinion, Disneyland's versions of rides are much better. for instance: In Disney World, the Indiana Jones attraction is merely a show, were as the Indiana Jones attraction in Disneyland is one of the most amazing, thrilling, and action-packed RIDE that Disneyland has created. Pirates of the Caribbean is MUCH better in Disneyland, so is the Haunted Mansion (although the ride system in the HM is pretty much identical, Disneyland's HM exterior, the plantation mansion, looks much cooler than the Walt Disney World facade).

d-)Walt Disney World is AMAZING, true some of its rides are better than there Disneyland counter-parts (for example the Tower of Terror). But Walt Disney World seems too....non surreal when compared to Disneyland. Disneyland truly does feel like you enter into a new world. Walt Disney World does too, but it just didn't seem to be AS surreal as Disneyland.

What Disneyland lacks in size when compared to Walt Disney World it makes up with charm, surrealness, wonderful attractions, and the magical feeling of being youthful once more, whether through the hearts of young children or the young at heart.

If you are debating which one to travel to and have resorted to Yahoo! ANSWERS for guidance, may you have an enjoyable and magical stay at either one of Disney's Magic Kingdoms.
