Im almost 14 weeks pregnant and over the last few weeks have been having major cravings for JUNK! I do eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner and i take my prenatals every day, but im constantly snacking. Cookies, chocolate, ice cream, and everything else you can think of! Any advice to stop this or calm it down a bit? Did you have this?Ive only gained 3 1/2 pounds and Im a small woman but I can feel myself getting bigger by the minute lol. Plus I dont want to jeopardize my babie's health. Thanks

To Colleen O: Why are you such a bitter bit*h?? Ive read your other answers to peoples questions and youre so rude and nasty..why do you even come on this website? Its not our fault that youre mad at the world...its pretty sad that you have to go ONLINE to pick on people and take your frustrations out on strangers. I feel sorry for you :(

itis natural and belive it or not your snacking is good. little snacks every hour or so can help to prevent morning..or in my case all day sickness. when you have a craving try waiting a few min if it doesnt go away go a head and have a little... as long as you dont eat the whole pint og ben abd jerrys you should be ok...

lol! sweetheart welcome to joys of pregnancy! i naturally am an overwieght mom and with my first pregnancy (only 1 so far) it was difficult to watch what i ate.(luckily i only gained 25pds) you hear the myth of eat whatever you want when your pregnant.but it is not so. it is hard to throw all the good food away. but it is best to not have it in the house. when you crave some ice cream or something have someone go and get it for you but only that.remember each time you eat this you are putting yourself at risk for gestational diabetes. if it helps write down everything you eat. but i know it is hard and if it helps talk with your ob/gyn. they may have other ideas to help you. another thing that helps is dont deprive yourself either, b/c if you do you will indulge more that you want to. if you crave some chocolate have a SMALL piece and let it melt in your mouth. then the craving will go away. i wish you all the best. but remember each time you overeat you are putting yourself at risk and your baby. don't think b/c your pregnant your eating for 2 b/c that is not true. good luck and congrats!

Welcome to the club! At least we are eating healthy and just snacking on the other stuff. I never had a sweet tooth before I got pregnant! Now I can't see cookies or anything else sweet, at least I stopped drinking coffee 100%, sometimes I couldn't get any food down so something is something of course as long as it's not the entire box of cookies or pint of ice cream! You should be ok, hunger comes & goes thruought the pregnancy, I am doing alot better now.
35 weeks with my first!

im in the same boat lol im 8 weeks and all i want is junk too....i was reading in the book called what to expect when you are expecting and the suggest you throw away all of the junk food and keep in out of the house until your pregnancy is over but i cant do that and im sure it will be hard for you too lol so all i do is eat small amounts once a month you just have to fight the urge good luck

I am 14weeks and dont crave much. But I think maybe try havings fruits instead of junk food, that way you fill up with something healthy. It's amazing how every woman is different.
Good Luck

Well i really don't have much advice other then you have to restrain yourself. I'm 29 weeks along and i had, and still do have, the same problem. i just try as hard as i can to stay away from sweets and when i do slip and eat sweets i make sure i take and extra long walk.

Your eating hapbits are YOUR responsiblity. Either you care enough about you pregnancy to remain healthy and to make sure the baby is born healthy or you don't. It's not MY responsibility.
