Ok, there is this girl in my class who i have known since fifth grade. IN the fifth grade, she used to be all nice to me and everyone else. But now in middle school, she acts like a rude, mean and demanding person to a lot of people. now shes not really that mean, but she is always staring at me. and sometimes she will comment my clothes or something, but usually she will always just talk about me. not always though. IS THIS GIRL JEOULOUS, DOES SHE HATE ME. i never did anything wrong to her. I AM SOO CONFUSED. when i ask my friends, and they notice her too, they just say shes jeolus of me

Jealousy isn`t always the case. Sometimes I`m mean to people just for the hell of it.

Why don't you calmly tell her that you preferred it when she was your friend and that it hurts your feelings that she is mean to you for no reason. Let her know that you aren't the only one who has noticed the change in her and that it isn't very attractive. Ask her if there is something wrong and if there is anything you can do to help?
Sometimes these major changes have nothing to do with you or the people who she is lashing out at. Has she gained weight, gone through puberty, gotten braces or is otherwise self-conscious, does she have a difficult home life? There are a lot of things that can make a person angry - sometimes these people really, really need a friend.
However, after you reach out to her like this, if she continues to be mean - tell her, "see, this is what I'm talking about!" and walk away.

Don't always assume they are jealous of you...There are a LOT of changes that are going on at the middle school years. Just either ignore it or kill with kindness. The last thing you need to do is say hateful things.(Many times people use Jealously as an excuse for others behavior)

WOW!!! I had this problem too. It's really unexplainable though ya kno. Some people just change for no reason. She could be trying to get more popular or maybe you 2 have just grown apart.Whatever the reason u have to accept it and move on with your life. Just chill and hang with the friends that you know will always be there for you.
hope I helped =]

If someone is mean to others for no reason- this includes the slag that left the first answer- it's because they lack something in their self worth.
The best thing to do is ignore her knowing she's only doing it because she feels that bad about who SHE is as a person. Don't stoop to her level and dish it back. Just smile politely and know you're being the bigger person. Pity her because she's that low of a human being.

She is wanting to fit in, because its a grown-up world in middle school. She wants the spotlight to be on her every minute of the day. She is also jealous, thats probably she comments on your clothes, because she wants them...

Well, could be cause she is very insecure so she has to take others down to her level anyway she can.
She could be jealous of you for many reasons.
Take a deep breath and learn how to not let these things get to you....it isn't you with the problem.....it is her!!!

This girl is very insecure about herself, and probably is jealous of you.She is probably one of those girls that are gorgeous, but every morning they tell themselves in the mirror how ugly they are, and no one wants to be there friend;or
she has someone at home telling her that she is ugly and and picks on everything she does and everything she wears;and picking on you is how she coops with the pain of having no one to talk to ,and no one to trust.

Well, first of all, people change. She might be going through a stage of depression. Maybe, she might have family problems. Well, she might be jealous, but I would recommend talking with her. You know, be nice to her.
