Make sure you keep it clean & use lots of antiseptic &
anti fungal medicine while it is growing back in order to
avoid it growing back with a nail fungus beneath the nail.

Best choice is to go to Emergency. If that is not possible then you might want to do what my Doctor told me to do when it happened to me and I couldn't get to a hospital.
Fill a large bowl with water, ice and 2 cups of salt. Soak your foot for up to 20 minutes to numb the pain. Then use a pair of pliers to yank off the toenail if it is still attached. This hurts like crazy, so do it fast and put your toe back into the icey water for a few minutes. The pain will stop.
Once completely removed, soak your foot in hot salt water to kill any germs and prevent infection. Use Hydrogen Peroxide to wash the toe if you have some. Then apply anti-bacterial cream and bandage the toe. Keep it clean and change bandage morning and evening.
Believe it or not, I had to do this twice. Since the second incident, I've kept my toenails short to prevent a third.
Good luck!

Keep the wound clean and let it heal. There's really not much to do once you've lost a toe nail. I've lost a toe nail on each big toe before. All I did was make sure it didn't get infected by keeping it clean. If you have any concerns, seeing your doctor is your best option

I've lost one twice. They grow back. Keep the injured area clean and protected til it heals. Neosporin ointment will help prevent infection.
