Media! Magazines, movies, TV, books, billboards, advetising of all kinds tell us over and over and over things like Lose Weight now!, Blondes have more fun, stay young, keep your skin beautiful, wear these great clothes, look like a model, look taller and thinner with blah, blah, blah! If you hear those things repeatedly every day while you grown up you cannot help but compare yourself to others including airbrushed images. Even models don't look good enough! How can women HELP but feel uncomfortable with their own bodies.

It doesn't matter if you are a super model or plain jane, all women are just like that, we can find flaws in ourself, where noone else even considers them to be, it's just the press and stars and such we see on t.v. and magazines, want to look like them, stay or get slim like them, but, most of them are airbrushed in the pictures to make them so perfect...so I feel like it's the media causing this, plus, peer pressure...noone is perfect, not even the most beautiful...there is always something, or some flaw with anyone, women and men..

Because we're raised with images of what society considers "perfection" and most women don't fit in that category. Therefore, we're all insecure with our looks because we're not the social standard of beauty.
