I have run into sites from time to time that as soon as you enter them you can´t get out by pressing "back" or "forward" and you have to type a different address into the URL to get out of them. Why is that?

It´s not only porn sites because the ones I accessed were NOT porn. One was Apolo Anton Ohno´s webpage.

They want you to stay on their site,it's that simple. Click on the little down arrow head next to the forward button to get back to where you want to be.

Because they're jerks and idiots.

Jerks because they're messing with your browser. Idiots because they seem to be under the impression that trapping you on their site makes you more likely to buy something or sign up for something.
