I have a real talent for languages, and would like to study it at uni. The problem is, though, I don't know which uni would be the best for studying languages. So please tell me!

Also, which course?

Thanks in advance, and no stupid or sarcastic answers. If you're not going to answer my question, go away!

After Cambridge and Oxford...

Bristol is the best for French

UCL for Italian

I study French at Queen Mary, London, it's pretty good too!

Depends on which language? Portsmouth has a cool language department, but I only know this due to the fact that I would borrow films from their library when I was doing my masters there. However, as a teacher of English as a foreign language, I would recommend that you learn the language in the country where it is spoken as a mother tongue, so look for a UK course with a good residential system in place.

I grew up hating Afrikaans too, for exceedingly lots a similar motives (and that i grow to be raised Afrikaans!). yet a staggering brown-eyed Boere-meisie taught me in any different case (pillow-communicate in english purely would not sound 0.5 as sturdy). yet no, i do no longer think of it is going to die out any time quickly, whether each and every final Afrikaans-speaking white leaves. The pan-africanists do unlike admitting it, yet there are assorted black people who talk it particularly willingly, and it particularly is been my journey that there are various extra who're particularly fond of discovering it. It has additionally been my journey that people who might squash it purely for political motives are relatively interior the minority. There are purely too many human beings speaking it now. If it does die, it is going to likely be an relatively gradual loss of existence, no longer a speedy one.
