Top three guys available with the first pick are
J. Mauer - was 100% until the "minor" injury last week so I am waivering now....
B. Roberts

I'd still go with Mauer. He's young and by far the best catcher out there. Take him....he should be fine even with the "minor injury"

I'd still go with Mauer despite the injury. If the thought of drafting an injured player with your first pick scares you, then go with Martinez.

Another question, why are you drafting a catcher so early? I would presume that there plenty of excellent players at other positions still available, and I would go after one of them first. I would bet that Mauer and/or Martinez will still be available in the next round. If you do miss out on one of them, there will still be more than serviceable catchers available.

Wow thats either Martinez or Mauer for sure. If you want a better average go with Mauer (disregard the injury) if you want more RBi's go with Martinez

Me personally Like Martinez better as a catcher because he has a better line up around him and will have more RBi' opps and can be a catcher and a 1b.

I'd take Joe Mauer still with the minor injury. He is the best catcher right now and he beats Victor Martinez by a mile.

Don't take Brian Roberts because I can name a lot of 2B men who are way better than him. 2B is a deep position this year.

it is a very interesting situation given the region of dropping draft options for both keepers. I comprehend why some human beings could allow you to understand to save Peavy, Soriano, or Sizemore...besides the indisputable fact that the way it sounds like your draft is determined up you may be a lot extra valuable off going with the perfect deal than the perfect gamers. i could save Maglio Ordonez as your hitter because he will purely fee you your 9th round %. and in case you seem at it from the attitude that really you have become Mags consisting of your 9th round %. that's a surprising deal pondering he's batting interior the midst of the most stacked offensive lineup in MLB this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i could save Putz because the pitcher because effectively that's a ABSOLUTE thieve to get between the perfect closers in baseball and purely lose your twenty eighth round %. for it. Peavy isn't inevitably a nasty decision, yet you won't be able to overlook that he nonetheless pitches for a crew that isn't going to grant him the perfect run help (meaning you may mood your expectancies for the quantity of wins he receives), and pitching is incredibly deep in MLB this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i could be ecstatic if I were entering a draft understanding I were given Mags and Putz and purely lost my 9th and twenty eighth round options.
