1) Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, April 12th, 1961 onboard Vostok 1.
2) The first satellite in space was Sputnik 1 ( you must include the '1' because there many Sputniks launched in different years.) launched on October 4th, 1957.

Sputnik was the first satellite in October 1957.
Russian Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space in April 1961.

The first satellite in space was Sputnik, in December 1957.
The first human in orbit was Yuri Gagarin, sometime in the early 1960s. You should be able to look that up.
